Free LinkedIn Profile Analysis

With the rise in popularity of LinkedIn among both job seekers and hiring managers it makes sense to take advantage of everything your LinkedIn profile has to offer. LinkedIn is free advertising and you need capitalize on the exposure by creating the most effective promotional profile possible. Simply copying and pasting your resume into your profile isn’t going to cut it. So, what will cut it?

Your profile needs to clearly show your personal brand. This is what makes you unique and different from the next profile. When someone reads your profile your brand should immediately stand out to them. If your brand is generic, then it’s not a brand. Your personal brand should be specific to you and no one else.

Are you optimizing your profile with keywords? Are you doing it correctly? Simply throwing keywords into your profile will reduce the authenticity of your profile. However, when done correctly, strategic industry specific keywords can enhance your ranking in a LinkedIn search.

As I said earlier, copying and pasting your resume into your profile is not going to get you the results that a customized, brand specific profile will. Yes, your profile will have much of the same information as your resume but instead of a copy it needs to complement your resume and become an integral part of your professional networking arsenal.

If you are curious as to how your LinkedIn profile compares to the competition send it to me at megan@greatresumesfast.com for a free LinkedIn profile analysis. I’ll give you honest feedback and suggestions to improve your profile and bring it to the next level.
